Guest Post: Pygmy Suckerfish

Author: Menkáno

This fish is really clogging up our banks and don’t sell very well either. Alchemy is a great way to turn them into profit possibly even more after 3.1 when the demand for DPS potions and MP5 flasks go up.

Pygmy Suckerfish

After one of the last patches you get a lot of Pygmy Suckerfish while farming buff food. But you are not alone so everyone gets them in masses. On my realm, a stack of them normally costs between 7 and 10 gold. One stack normally is changed into 30 pygmy oil and these can be used to build at least 10 Guru’s Elixir. On my realm I’m nearly the only one who crafts these and puts them in auction house. I normally sell a stack of 5 elixirs for 23 gold so the 20 fish for 10 gold sell for at least 45 gold. This obviously gets better with elixir mastery. Yesterday I made the test: I bought 209 fish and paid a little bit less than 100g and created 307 oil. With some luck I created 124 elixirs. I needed to buy Imbued Vials for 34gold so I invested 134 gold. I sell these elixirs for 540 gold.
