What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?

-Prospect about 35 stacks of Titanium Ore

How prepared are you for 3.2?

-Only somewhat prepared. I could have maxed out on honor, marks, tokens, ect.

What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?

-Still leg armor kits and crafted epics like last patch.

What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?

-This is hard to say, but Crusader Orbs will go for a lot during the first months of new content. Epic gems may sell well at first, but prices are going to plummet as time goes on.

What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2? (Addon: BigPicture)

-An estimated 112,000g and that’s after giving away about 35,000g to some friends. That is including the 35 stacks of Titanium. Hopefully each stack is worth at least 200g, which would be the break even point since that is what I paid for them. Let’s hope that epic gems are worth 300g+ on live servers.

What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out? Prospect Titanium ore and get the patterns for JC.

How prepared are you for 3.2? Fairly well, wish I had more time to obtain the mats for the JC patterns.

What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now? Enchanting mats are the most profitable, Gem prices have dropped dramatically.

What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2? I expect epic gems will be HUGE for about 4 days, JC in particular will be good in this patch, with the ease of getting Tier 9 gear. Enchanting also does well when large epuipment starts falling out of trees……

What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2? All of my toons bank bags are maxed out, glad they are releasing the patch! (LOL) I have almost 300 stacks of Titanium ore to prospect, I have been working on damaged necklaces and the JC daily. I will have ALL JC patterns for epic gems within 8 hours of release. I have been stockpiling Eternal Earth also, after all that prospecting, will convert the green gems to gear, then DE all of it, so i will have TONS of enchanting mats to sell within the week after release. Bank roll right now is low, around 30,000G, But that will change after release.

    # What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?

    1). Wake up
    2). login ;)
3). Prospect a lot of Titanium Ore.

    # How prepared are you for 3.2?
Reasonably. Not maxed in honor, but have like a little over 400 badges.

    # What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?

    Cut gems.

    # What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?

The main new things will be the epic gems. Other than that, business as usual.

    # What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2?

About 140k in gold and a bit over 1450 stacks of Titanium Ore. There’s a lot of other stuff in the vault, but not really worth mentioning.

What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?
    Prospect Titanium :)

How prepared are you for 3.2?
Should have stocked more Eternal Earth :( but overall im satisfied

What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?
Depends… RIGHT NOW its darkmoon cards/deck(faire week), g/time invested its probably buy to resell, profit margin its glyphs, g/day its probably BS.

What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?
    Epic gems, hopefully.

What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2? (Addon: BigPicture)
Ohh, hard question… 60k bankroll and upwards 200k in inventory(depends hugely on the outcome of prospecting 500+ stacks of titanium…) (Im excited to try out that addon :) )

    # What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?

Prospect an entire bank of titanium I bought cheap over the past month.

    # How prepared are you for 3.2?

    See: bank full of titanium.

    # What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?

Before the patch, it was glyphs (no gevlon-style mass undercutter on my server, so still 10-20g profit per glyph, so I can make a few hundred a day for almost no work), cut rare gems, and enchanting mats. Netherweave went up in price while bags went down, so I got out of that market. Very profitable to buy Saronite stacks at 15g a pop and prospect for 80-100g runed rubies and other rare gems to cut and sell. Use leftover uncommon gems to make greens to DE for sellable mats (buying cheap eternal earth when you see it)

    # What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?

Epic gems and their cuts. Glyphs will still do well. Expect a rush on feral druid glyphs (new forms!), shaman glyphs (new interface!) and DK glyphs (lots of changes!). Twink items, and anything that is good for alts. Materials for powerleveling professions. Dragon’s Eyes.

    # What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2?

I’m down to around 20k gold, but that’s only because I leveled 2 new alts to 80 in past month and bought epic flying and boe epics for them, including Darkmoon Cards.

However, that’s not counting the Titanium. I have at least 30 stacks to prospect in my bank. At current prices, that’s worth about 4200g, even though it only cost me about 2400. There’s no telling what it will be worth after the patch after I prospect it, and it’s especially hard to put a value on the dust that will allow me to buy a wider variety of profitable patterns.

Hit GC a few weeks back, so this is just icing on the cake for me.

What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?

Make the long flight to Netherstorm on both of my alchemists. Convert to Xmute mastery on both (I have over 800 speed pots and 500 or so Rage flasks so they’ve done their jobs). Go to Dalaran and begin xmuting the Green and Blue rare gems I saved up for the Cardinal Ruby xmute quest. 5 days later – begin proccing Cardinals. Step 3 profit. Reds are the highest demand and will be the highest demand forever.

Oh and then prospect a guild tab of Titanium Ore and buy all the worthy cuts for reds (and other colors I’ve picked to be hot sellers).

    # How prepared are you for 3.2?
I saved up 3 months worth of rubies and fires to be able to do the xmute on both alchemists daily. I also have several stacks of other colors in case the market shifts. Titanium was difficult towards the end, I did my buying 2 weeks after the announcement when it hit a server low, after that point they climbed in cost so I win there.

    # What is your most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?
Gems, Enchant scrolls, and Enchanting mats – worth about 2500 a day between them if I post. I let a server friend take over glyphs in my place since he wanted to make a bunch of gold so I was nice and took a seat until he caps. These are still highly profitable on our server.

    # What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?
Tough question. I debated this with another friend, I think Epic gems will have a limited market because I see people in 213 gear with green gems in them. Those that are serious about raiding or PvP will go epics, but blues will still have a good market and people will overlook this and saronite ore won’t be prospected as much. PvP cuts on my server will sell like candy because raiding is almost dead and the guilds that raid have their JCs all lined up for these cuts. Time will tell but I didn’t overpay on my Titanium and it’s a rich man’s game anyhow. Thanks Warcraftecon so I can call myself in that club.

Initial cash dumps – Blue gems (yes, you heard it here). Epic gems are predicted to be around 300-400g per, and the average player only has access to about 100g income per day. Blues will be used on alts and casual mains and these are the bulk of the player base. Scrolls of armor enchants because weapons are still not easily attainable and gear will be upgraded heavily over the next 2-4 weeks. And glyphs because of all the class changes.

    # What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2?
224,000 in gold, and 6 personal guild bank tabs filled with all sorts of treasure from raiding supplies to profession goodies. 2 tabs were dedicated to this patch – filled with stacks of uncut blue gems, eternals, and titanium ores.

Thank god we can stack potions now. And good luck to all of you! =)

@ Zerohour – Grats on hitting the gold cap! You make a good point that not everyone will be switching to epic gems right away.

  • Wall

    # What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?
Prospect Titanium Ore and try to get my hands on the new raptor pets!

    # How prepared are you for 3.2?
I’ve stacked up on enchanting mats, scrolls and glyphs. Haven’t really bothered with anything else.

    # What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?
The glyph market have taken a heavy down turn due to tough competition and heavy undercutting, so I would say rare gems and enchanting scrolls.

    # What do you think will be the most profitable markets/items in 3.2?
Like many others I expect the epic gem prices to be high in 3-4 days after patch release, and then drop. Probably Dragon’s Eyes and rare gems.

    # What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2?
Only 23k in gold, and ~7k worth of items. I’m a small player compared to you guys!

  • zerohour

Just got done swapping xmutes and prospected all that ore. I was among the disappointed. 3 Cardinals and a ton of the other colors and lots of blues (to xmute to epic one day). Got lucky on one xmuter however and procced a double zircon.

One other thing I did to prep for this was make sure I had a second alchemist. She was 69 today (and my DK slot, only rolled for this patch) and could pick up the quest for Cardinals which was rumored to require level 70. Apparently not.

  • Trollgrind

Well im only playing for 2 Month now and started with 6k Gold.
I hadnt used this site to make it, cause i didnt know it until a few days ago. Also i didnt hear much new things here.
I bought titanium ore for about 130g und sold half of it for like 180g , still 30 Stacks remaining for patchday.
Im not prepared much, just doin busines as usual.
Got like 50k Gold and 12k in Mats.
No Wonder u guys got 220k in Gold. NP If your playing since wotlk release. Even more if your nerding since prebc ;D

  • dust

a few hours before the patch titanium ore prices exploded on my server.
    yesterday morning: 80g/stack
    yesterday evenng: 420g/stack

  • Moe

    # What is the first thing you’ll do in game the day 3.2 comes out?
Prospecting, buying new JC patterns then start watching the market.

    # How prepared are you for 3.2?
About 540 stacks of titanium ore. Stacked a lot of externals. Meta gems. Put 50k in the ‘war chest’, if the market crashes I plan on buying offensively.

    # What is you most profitable markets/items you are selling right now?
JC items, gems and epic rings/necklaces.

    # What do you think will be the most profitable
Epic and rare gems I think, reselling titanium ore will be very profitable the first day of the patch I’m guessing.

    # What is your inventory and bankroll worth pre-patch 3.2?
Bankroll is at 125k atm my inventory: 64k in ore, 25-30k in other mats.

    Thanks for a great blog!

  • Ewber

ya guys i’m totally buying up cardinal rubies like 100-150g ea from people turning in honor for 3-6 of them.

just stood next to the honor vendor and was like hey ill buy your honor!

and of course runed cut ones are going for 400-500g lol

I think next week (after the weekend crew turns in their badges/honor) will be when the gem market stabilizes and people run out of stacks of badges and honor.

  • Ewber

    badges = emblems…

    I’m stuck in BC.

  • zerohour

I don’t know about your servers, but Epic gem sales last night were horrible. There’s something I learned a while back (since I am in sales professionally) – just because there’s a list price of $X on something, doesn’t mean it is selling or going for $X. People have to be buying them and I think most people are waiting. I personally got the gems I was missing from turning in honor I wasn’t using, so I imagine others were doing the same thing or trading in badges.

At the beginning of the evening, prices were right where I pegged them… 300-400. By the end of the evening, people were simply offering to cut gems for 25g in trade. Titanium was way overpriced but after people saw the results from prospecting and the amount of the return on that investment, they started giving up so it started going back down in price immediately.

Now for Rare (blue) gems, I made out like a bandit. I pulled my usual 2k even with the servers being down all day. I sold a whole 2 cut epic gems which was another 500g. I think the glut of gems available right now make this unprofitable at the moment, especially when the average person looks at them and says “I get a whole 4 more agi or str for just an additional 300g? Yeah right”.

I think I’ll start posting next week’s pricing today, that should drive competition to dump their gems faster and settle the market out here.

  • taco

I sold about 3 epic gems yesterday (prospected about 110 stacks). I think people are waiting for the price to go down or to get some new gear before putting in epic gems. I have 34 patterns and had 1 of each gem on the AH but sales were shit (that or the fact that my server was down for most of the day yesterday). I did managed to sell 10 damaged necklaces for 1k each (got them for 150-250g).

  • El

I was thinking of prospecting all my titanium ore but looked at the prices the ore was going for (400g a stack) and uncut gems (250-300) I sold most of 20 stacks of ore (bought for 150-180g) so made a nice profit.

Also my scribe seems to be the only on doing Glyphs of Obitarate on the server so sold 20+ of those for 50g each.

All in all not a bad day.

  • Zerohour

Well I almost sold out of epic gems finally, I just priced them to move. Since I bought the ores cheap enough I could price them more aggressively than 90% of the competition. Compared to the competition, I was a solid 30-50% below them in posting prices but was only able to clear about a 10% margin. I am happy to get that at the moment and will reopen the store on these gems after the cooldown.

Rares I netted a little over 3k so my theory on this server is possibly proving itself. I’m actively purchasing all the saronite below 15g I can get my hands on for JC/DE because enchants are going like hotcakes. I have an ulterior motive as well from something I saw happening on the AH just this morning.

  • moe

As said above the epic gems sold very slow the first two days. After that they started to move abit but then the price of some of the cut I was selling whent down too 150g.

No worries tho! After prospecting all my 550 stacks I was able to by close too all epic cuts, missing three atm. Big plus, cutting for fee (tryed to spot the resellers). But the items that got my initial investment back was rare and meta gems!

They sold extremly well! So selling a epic bellow 150g dont feel bad as Im allready in the green. The coming epic sells will only add to the plus account.

When all is said and done Im guessing I will have sold for 120.000g+ and a pure proffit of 60.000g.

My advice, buy rare gems cut and sell, they are flying of the shelf! Start selling meta gems, many times overlooked by jeawlcrafter! And start buying upp cheap purpuel, orange and red epic gems when priced 120g and lower.
