Fishing: How Profitable Is It? Part II


Back in January of 2009, we wrote about how profitable fishing was shortly after the release of Wotlk. Our numbers came out to be about 300g per hour. We decided to do this test again after noticing some increased prices of fish on our server. Our new numbers now are almost 500g/hr! Not bad for fishing in Wintergrasp without having to move an inch.

The Experiment

For this test we wanted to maximize the fish caught in the smallest amount of time, so fishing in Wintergrasp was a good choice. After fishing for about an hour, 217 total fish were caught among other things. Below are the results.

Total: 490.5g per hour
