Guild Bank Liquidation Before Cataclysm

Can I turn a 6 tab guild bank with 56,000 gold into the gold cap? This is a task I have taken on with my current guild. They don’t know it yet, but I will try to turn that 56k into 214k or at least double the amount of gold in the bank. I think to hit the cap, I am going to have to invest the gold in crafted items and have guild members use their professions. In the stale time at the end of an expansion right before the new one, this might be a fun experiment. I will document my process here and hopefully we can hear some input and suggestions from our readers. This little series might even help officers and guild masters with liquidating items before Cataclysm. I know a lot of players are pack rats and never let anything go, however I am the opposite. If there is profit I will sell and if for some reason I need something back, I can just re-buy it, most likely at lower prices. So detailed below is the current situation of the guild bank and a few starting steps on what I plan on doing with it. If you have any suggestions, please let us know in the comments!

The Gameplan
- Sell off miscellaneous items that the guild will never use
- With cooking; combine fish/meat with northern spices
- Sell popular raid food and cooking daily quest meats
- Sell off enchant scrolls, re-buy at lower cost later if our raiders actually use these
- Sell glyphs that are worth over 10g each
- Sell some potions, but leave enough for raiders
- Liquidate all gems, possibly turn uncommon gems into enchanting materials for resale
- Sell BOE epics while they are still worth something
- Sell the lonely primordial saronite, the value of them will only keep going down
So far that is the blueprint off the top of my head. If you have anything to add on turning these items into more profitable results, please leave a comment.
