Just want the WoW Tycoon Gold Addon? Click here.

Intro

  • Minimum skill level to unlock dailies: 475
  • Only one daily requires you to kill level 80 mobs, so your low level Jewelcrafter can do these regularly in the comfort of your home city.
  • Start doing these JC dailies now, the method of obtaining recipes is the same as it was in Wrath.
  • Huge profits can be had due to the slow acquisition of gem cuts, take advantage of this
  • See this page for more information on Cataclysm gems and other crafted items.

Jewelcrafting Dailies

Alliance:

Horde:

The Fire Prism can be considered a daily as well. It is on a 20 hour cooldown and requires 16 uncommon gems, 3 of each color. The prism contains rare gems and a small chance to obtain Chimera’s Eye, which can save you a daily token and put it towards recipes instead.

Quest Objectives

A Present for Lila – Cut three Timeless Nightstones

Elemental Goo – Collect 10 Elemental Goo from any Cataclysm elemental

Nibbler! No! - Cut three Solid Zephyrites

Ogrezonians in the Mood – Cut three Jagged Jaspers

The Latest Fashion! - Test Stardust No. 2 on 10 “humanoid subjects”

Quest Rewards

Cataclysm Jewelcrafting Recipes

Full List of JC Recipes from the vendor.

  • Crafted BOE Blue Gear – 5 tokens
  • Meta Gem Cuts – 4 tokens
  • Rare Gem Cuts – 3 tokens
  • Chimera’s Eye Cuts – 3 tokens
  • Chimera’s Eye – 1 token

Notes

  • The quests that involving cutting 3 uncommon gems requires you to cut them after you obtain the quest.
  • If you proc a “perfect” gem, it will not count towards the 3 total.
  • However, cutting 3 satisfies the quest requirement and you can turn in any pre-cut non-perfect ones from you inventory.
  • Stardust No. 2 can be used on yourself, NPC’s, other players, and the quest giver.
  • Elemental Goo drops from Cataclysm elementals, but we are not sure which zone is the fastest for each faction yet.

Other items

Chimera’s Eye is a reagent for JC only gems, jewelery and Rhinestone Sunglasses. The item is not soulbound, similar to a Dragon’s Eye and can be sold and traded. This early in the expansion, it may be wise to save your tokens for recipes and buy any Chimera’s Eye you need from a profit standpoint.

Figurines

Jewelcrafting Quest Drops

These are BOP world drops for JC’s only. They allow you to reconstruct the item using a few reagents and the BOP trinket becomes yours. There are also BOP recipes for these items, however the crafted item is also BOP, so we don’t get why there are two sources for the same item.

Future Changes

Reserved for future additions and changes, which may include a Cataclysm version of the Damaged Necklace. Please leave any questions below in the comments.

the link for the Alliance Elemental Goo does not have a link you have one on here twice.

  • Hellblaizer

I think the fastest way to do the Elemental Goo daily is to take the portal to Mount Hyjal, and kill the Scalding Rock Elementals. If you do it that way, you will get help from the guards.

  • Shamanara

Fastest way I found it was to go to deepholm and kill the geodes. Almost a 100% drop rate for me. What I want to know is why we can't craft ilvl 359 necks/fingers/trinkets etc

  • http://www.warcraftecon.net Warcraftecon

I believe all elementals have a 100% drop rate now. So pick the place or area most convenient for you. I do like hyjal because of the large clusters and the low hp.

  • Zazma

It's lame that Tailoring, Blacksmithing and Leatherworking… even Archaelogy can create iLevel 359 epics but Jewelcrafting cannot

    • Jaybe

Not being able to create EPICS sucks but apparently there is a small chance of creating one when you craft a blue………..totally unfair IMO

  • Gim

Where I get the JC daily?

    • http://www.warcraftecon.net Warcraftecon

Click on one of the quests for your faction. There will be a map as well as the name of the quest giver.

  • ONCEUGOGNOMEUWONTGOBACK

You can complete the Elemental Goo quest by running regular/heroic Halls of Origination. Quest times drop off the elemental in there; especially the fire elements before the last boss…even the smaller ones they split into.

  • Grimsickle

All Cataclysm JC recipes sold for the tokens have gems that bind on pickup. How do you get them to sell if they'll only be good for you when you make them? Can't even trade bound gems.

  • http://www.warcraftecon.net Warcraftecon

The recipes are BOP but the gems are not. The only gems that are BOP are the JC only ones, which are epic in quality. This is the JC profession perk.
