How Much Gold Do You Have?

Our Wrath of the Lich King poll on “How Much Gold Do You Have?” was a huge success. Almost 10,000 people participated in the survey. So now after a few months of Cataclysm, we plan to reset the counter and start brand new. We had underestimated how much gold players were able to obtain in Wrath since our highest answer was only 100k. Now we have updated the poll to reflect even higher gold amounts as well adding more choices. Please answer with how much liquid gold you have, rather than how much you are combined in materials and other items that have not been sold yet.

    Love the poll; worried about the demographic. I feel like on average, readers of sites like these will tend to have more gold than the average wow player, making the results slightly less useful. Still, interesting to see.

    Is this just liquid gold or value of assets as well?

      Hmm. hard to say. I would go with liquid. I know that a lot of auctioneers have a lot of their wealth tied up in mats worth sometimes more than their liquid gold amount. Thoughts from anyone else on this?

        Liquid. The numbers get kind of funky if you can pad them with items with flaky or imaginary market values. We could easily add another million or two in assets just by tweaking the fallback settings on our glyphs.

        I would say this would be liquid too. Maybe it calls for another poll to find out how much gold people have tied up in assets. I know personally my liquid gold is about 40k at the moment but I probably have 300k worth of assets in the bank etc.

    Liquid I believe – you can't hit gold cap on assets.

    The question is how much Gold do you have, not how much you are worth. So I would say liquid only.
