Farming Leather And Uptrading Via The NPC Vendor For Rare Pristine Hides

If you have skinning as one of your professions and are making gold I am going to tell you a way of making bonus profits using your skinning skills as oppose to just the regular profits of selling leather.

This will give you the benefit of making additional profits from a profession where the materials usually come from dungeon runs and farming.

If you can get your hands on the rare leather Pristine Hide it sells for 50g to 100g more than the materials you can trade for it i.e. (10 Heavy Savage Leather) at the leatherworker in Twilight Highlands.

Sometimes Heavy Savage Leathers will also sell more than regular Savage Leather depending on demand on your server.

The key is making sure you check the AH first and the trade the items if necessary this will allow you to make additional profits on the materials that you already have!

Also if you are a leatherworker you can make a profit on the AH as some sets will be significantly higher than the materials – keep an eye out for the ones that use Chaos orbs from heroic dungeons.

Depending on where you are farming as well if you have a look at the lower part of the map I provide highlights on “Obsidian Forest” – keep an eye out for the semi-rare Black Dragonscale that you can see for 30+ gold on some servers.
