New Warcraft Econ Writer: Wes Ford

Hello, dear readers!

I wanted to take this time and introduce myself to the Warcraft Econ community! I have been working with Warcraft Econ over the past month to get this partnership set up. Warcraft Econ has given me a great opportunity to become a part of this community. I will be joining the staff as a content producer. My aim is to bring you updates on all of the latest and greatest things happening in the World Of Warcraft economy. The direction this site is headed is tremendous and I am honored to be a part of it.

My Background

To give you a little background about myself, I am Wes of Capped By Cata and The Auction House Junkies Podcast. I’m also a staff writer at Goldgrub’s Goblin Academy. I initially got my feet wet writing here with Warcraft Econ about two years ago when I wrote a few guest columns. However, I was stuck in college at that point and had to focus on finishing. Since then I have built a tremendous site on my own, and have come full circle to once again be part of this great community. Warcraft Econ is one of the oldest and most trusted sites in the Gold Making community. Famous for things such as the Hall Of Fame series, readers come here to find news and information about the World Of Warcraft Economy.

My Role

My role here at Warcraft Econ is unique. My primary job is going to be putting together content surrounding the World Of Warcraft Economy, much like Warcraft Econ is known for. I’m aiming to publish at least three articles a week to get started. With that in mind, I want to go ahead and encourage feedback from you, the reader. I’m open to any constructive criticism that you may have. I want to tailor things that can help you be successful in the World Of Warcraft. The best way for me to do that is by listening to your opinion and taking them into consideration when I’m putting together content for this site. Outside of regular economic updates, the team at Warcraft Econ really wants to take this community to the next level. While we are still going to be a Economy focused publication, we want to branch out and help players with other questions they may have. These may be things that are gold making related, but not necessarily gold making centric. Such as leveling guides, or guides to completing a legendary quest chain. The Gold Making blogosphere has erupted with a plethora of tremendous authors, but only so much content to cover. In an effort to minimize duplicated content, we want to expand our horizons here. We aim to bring you the best of all aspects in the World Of Warcraft.

My Invitation

Once again, I would like to extend an invitation to you. To comment and interact with the community here. We want to hear from you. We want to know how we can be an asset to you. The more direction you give us, the better the site becomes. I’m always available for contact. You can leave a post in the comments section, or find my other contact information in the Written By Wes section at the bottom of the post. I look forward to being a part of this community and I hope you do to!

    Congratulations Wes.

I look forward to your involvement as I enjoy you site and the podcasts, while Goldgrubs hasn't quite grown on me yet.

While it will only be the 250,000g mark, I am hoping to do my first Warcraft Econ interview shortly. Considering I started the journey because of this site a few short months ago is another full circle example.

    All the Best,
