Newbie Gold: How to Pay for Your WoW Epic Flying Mount

“I just bought my flying mount and I’m broke…” I get this question a lot from level 60′s that have just bought their regular flying mount and now only have about 10-20g left over. Well I have a few suggestions.

Flipping Low Level Herbs

First off, what you will want to do is go straight to the auction house and invest in some low level herbs. One of my bank alts is getting almost hourly pay offs from these. For example Terocone, you can buy them for 1-3g can turn around and sell them for 5 to 8g each. One more good investment herb is Nightmare Vine. You can buy it for 99s-2g and sell it for 5-7g. Also check for Vanilla/Outland herbs.

Making Gold with Vendor Recipes

Another good tip is to go to Stormwind and go to the top right corner of old town. The corner closest to the Dwarven District is a pub. In there is the Old town inn keeper. If you go up the stairs there will be a man named Kendor Kabonka. You will want to buy 3 different recipes from him they are called:

Gorstusk Liver Pie – Cost 1 silver (Sell Price: 13-20g)
Beer Basted Boar Ribs – Cost 60 copper (11-16g)
Crocolisk Steak – Cost:1 silver AH (11- 19g)After buying them, head over to the auction house and sell them at a mark up.

This should get you started in making gold when you don’t have much to spare. You should be well on your way to paying for your epic flying mount all by yourself soon.
