Patch 4.3: Massive Collection of the Best Items for Transmogrification

Wowhead.com has put together an extensive list of the best items for transmogrification/mogging. There is quite a large about of items here, separated into tiers, categories, sets, armor types, levels, and other factors. You could spend hours looking through all these models to pick the ones you want for your character once patch 4.3 is released. If you plan on making some money on there rarer BOE models here, be sure to make note of the most unique ones you find. Chances are that if you want it, others will too. Right now is probably the best time to pick up cheap BOE’s that look good/unique enough for transmogrification next patch.

Transmogrification Idea Guide

• Tier 1-12 and PvP Sets: All class-specific tier sets–both PvE and PvP.
• Unique Items: Unique armor, distinctive weapons, and item sets that aren’t class-specific.
• Look-Alike Tier: All items that resemble class-only tier, which anyone with the right armor type can equip.
• Matching Greens: World drop green items that are part of a matching set
• Most Unique Looking: Staves | Shields

Extreme Mogging

Ok not really, but model editing has been around for a long time now. This is where you edit the game files to replace/echange the looks of things in the game, including character/world models. Although no other player can see these modifications, you can see them on your end. Giving yourself legendaries can be sweet, for a while. We have experimented with this a while back. Dual Warglaive of Azzinoth were cool, but then you get sick of looking at them and switch back to the default models of your weapons. Maybe vanity isn’t everything. I’m sure players will create all kinds of Transmogrified sets because one just isn’t enough.
