Patch 3.2 Preparation: Updated Alchemy Epic Gem Transmutes

Posted by Warcraftecon | July 10, 2009 .

Transmute: Eye of Zul

There is still some time before the patch 3.2 gets released so materials are still subject to change. However they seem to be more balanced and make more sense now. [Forest Emerald]‘s may still be valuable, but also remember that these transmutes share the same 20 hour cooldown. You may be better off transmuting a [Cardinal Ruby] instead, only time will tell which transmute is the most profitable.

Pretty sure we will all be transmuting Cardinal Ruby’s every 20hrs.

I liked version 1.0 of the alchemy transmutes that didnt have a cooldown.

they should AT LEAST put each color on a separate cooldown.

    btw
This might be outside the scope of your blog, but you should do a post on SPENDING gold like once you have 100k+ or are at the gold cap.

Alot of us “rich” players would love some advice/novel ideas besides “Buy a bike/mammoth” or “Get all pets off AH”

I bet it would be an interesting read.

Nope, spending gold is not outside this blog. However there are only so many gold sinks in this game. That is a good idea, I’ll think of some ideas and any other input from our readers would be nice.

I bought mammoth, bike, enough pets to get to 75 and then some BOE gear for alts when I hit 70k gold. I am building up from 30k now but might stop as I don’t see a point to having anything over that without an expansion in the next 6 months.

100k is not a lot in the schemes of things. I have so far purchased:

24 runed orbs to gear my 2 level 80s @1.2k each
1 legging of the lost love 5k for my lock
1 proto hide legging 3.5k for my rogue
    2 bikes at 15.5k each
    1 tundra mammoth 16k
1 Hodir mammoth 8k (can’t remember the price on this one)
    4 toons epic flying mounts

    There goes 100k.

I will most likely spend the same amount on the new orbs once they become available on the ah after 3.2. It’s so easy to spend gold.

Taco you sound like a _______.

In any case… the Forest Emeralds on my server dropped down from 15g to 5 g =_= after the cooldown was implemented :<

Yea once you get to a certain point gold can get boring. Its not too difficult to spend though. I enjoy surprising certain ppl with items that will take them months to grind.

If your lucky enough, u can sell the gold to someone, blizz makes enough money already. besides a bit of extra RL cash doesnt hurt :3.

anyways currently sitting on top of a 55k gold pile, and got 210 stacks of titanium ore saved up. Besides with china banning goldselling (sale of virtual currency) things might even get interesting…
