What to do with your Emblem of Valor (25 Man)

While [Emblem of Valor] gear is nice, it is not the best in slot for most classes if not all of them. Some of you may have a whole bunch of these hanging out in your bags with nothing else to buy. You have the PvE gear you need off of the vendors and possibly bought pieces of the Hateful PvP gear. What more is there to do with them?

Trade Down to Emblem of Heroism’s

You can trade a 25-man badge for a 5/10-man badge. Why would anyone want to do this? Well some may raid a lot of 25-man content and will have an abundant amount of these. Remember that [Frozen Orb], Heirloom items, and rare/blue quality gems are located on the [Emblem of Heroism] vendors. So trading down allows you to buy these things, which was discussed in our previous article; What to do with your Emblem of Heroism’s.

Purchase the BOE Bracers

This was brought to our attention by a reader, Menkano. There are BOE bracers on the vendors, which mean you can sell them on the auction house or pre-sell them in trade for a large amount of gold. This is in the 1000-5000g range, it really depends on your server and how much the buyer wants it. As we get closer and closer to Ulduar and patch 3.1, the demand for the BOE bracers will surely drop. Now is the time to start selling them if you weren’t already. In a week of raiding all 25-man’s, you could receive up to 24 badges excluding [Large Satchel of Spoils]. So every 2.5 weeks, you could have the 60 badges required for the bracers.

Save them for 3.1

The last option here is to hang on to them and see if any new badge gear will be added to the game. You may even have to wait past the PTR to find out since they have stated that not everything in 3.1 will show up on the PTR. We are still not sure what badges are going to drop where, but it seems like the new Emblem of Conquest will drop in Ulduar 25 and the [Emblem of Valor] will drop in Ulduar 10. This may mean new badge gear on the Valor vendor, quite possible Tier 8, while Conquest vendors will have a few pieces of Tier 8.5. However this is still speculation on the subject of new badge gear.

Ive been using mine for PVP gear having already bought pve gear before.

Badges is easy to get now but i dont think they will take out new gear as the badges in Uldar will be different so that will bring different gear.

1. The EoV boots ARE best in slot for Protection Warriors and Paladins, and the Cloak is very, very close.

2. I believe they will add new items to the EoV vendor, but NOT to the EoH vendor. EoVs will drop in Ulduar10 (speculation), and EoC (conquest) in Ulduar25. They WILL release EoC items, and I think it likely they will release new EoV items as well.
